• Organic Whole Wheat Penne Rigate Pasta (500g) Organic whole wheat pasta, bronze die cut, dried at low temperatures and made in Gragnano the birthplace of dry pasta, outr Pasta Gragnanese Penne Rigate not only taste better and retain all of their goodness when cooked, they also have plenty of surface area to absorb the flavour and liquid of the sauce with which it they are served. Penne rigate are medium length tubes with their ends cut at an angle (like a quill or fountain pen) and with deep ridges (rigatura) are said to have originated in Campania and are a perfect shape for all sauces.
• Organic Whole Wheat Spaghetti (500g)
• Organic whole Wheat Fettuccine Pasta (500g) These long, wide strands get their name from the Italian “fettuce” meaning ribbons. This is a versatile pasta that can be prepared in many ways. Particularly adapted to oil or butter-based sauces, as the sauce goes a long way, coats the pasta evenly and also helps to prevent the strands of pasta from clumping together.
• Organic Passata (720ml) Prima Bio’s organic tomato passata is produced with round tomatoes grown on their farms in the province of Foggia in Puglia. The tomato variety chosen to make this exquisite tomato nectar is the round ‘Delfo’ type, known for its compact and well-structured pulp and its delicate taste.
• Organic Tomato & Vegetable Pasta Sauce (200g) This ready to use tomato and vegetable sauce is made with organic vegetables from Italy and with plump tomatoes from the Po Delta in the provinces of Ferrara and Ravenna. This sauce can be combined with most pasta shapes but goes particularly well with Farfalle and Fusilli.
• Organic Truffle Sauce (90g) A rich flavourful black summer truffle sauce made with black summer truffle, champignon mushrooms, and black olives. Made to a traditional recipe using traditional methods this black truffle sauce is the easiest way to give a truffle kick to all your savoury dishes. Perfect for pastas and risottos, bruschetta, omelettes and pizzas. Goes really well with our whole wheat spaghetti!
• Organic Tomato Sauce with Aubergines (200g) By combining organic aubergines grown in their vegetable garden and plump Delfo tomatoes, Primo Bio have created a delicious and healthy pasta sauce which pairs well with our whole wheat Fettuccine or Penne.
