Our ethical lampshades are designed and produced by Seed Home Designs. Seed Home Designs are passionate about upcycling cotton and other fabrics, in order to keep them away from landfills. All materials used in the production of our lampshades are upcycled and recyclable. 

The organic lampshades stocked across eTHikelare handmade and produced here in the UK, with eco-friendly fabrics and inks using environmentally sustainable methods of digital printing in order to leave as little waste as physically possible when producing the lampshades. 

No water is used in the printing methods, and all cotton is ethically sourced and upcycled. The printing method also uses 95% less energy than traditional techniques and are created over a 2-3 week lead period.

Other products stocked by eTHiKel, including table and desk lamps, which are designed and produced by a Kent brand known as Anti, short for Anti-waste. Anti are passionate about energy and preventing as much waste as possible.

Anti’s sustainable lamps use G4 LED Bulbs, in order to be as energy-efficient as possible, the use of these bulbs creates 5x less heat energy waste when compared to their halogen counterparts. As well as this, the 5 Watt bulbs cost 90% less to run in terms of electricity bills.

The LED bulbs only use 5w of energy and still produce 450 luminets, for a halogen bulb to achieve this, it would have to use at least 50w.  In addition to this, ethical LED Lamps have a longer lifespan as well.
