Home Spa Sanctuary
16-12-2021As social restrictions surface time and time again it’s now more important than ever to take a moment to breathe and relax.
If you can’t book into a luxury spa why not create your own little sanctuary at home through sophisticated room fragrances, aromatherapy oils, calming music, tea and candles for the ultimate rest and relaxation.
Get Comfy
Create your spa in the part of your home where you feel most comfortable, it could be your bathroom or bedroom. Wherever you decide, surround yourself with your favourite cushions, blankets and throws.
Use your favourite bathrobe, your softest towels and don’t forget your eye mask and slippers.
Scents and Essential Oils
Next, think about what scents make you feel relaxed. Spray your room with the Sleep home fragrance. Sleep is a unique aromatherapy blend of natural essential oils that will start your journey. Partner this will the sleep candle, with scents of lavender, camomile and sandalwood that are deep and soothing and help release you from your day. Take a moment to watch the flickering light whilst taking a few slow deep breaths.
Music
The right kind of music is really important when creating your tranquil atmosphere, we recommend ‘Spa Music’ playlist on Spotify. Music calms parts of the autonomic nervous system to slow your breathing and reduce stress.
Aromatherapy
Fill your bath and take a soak, add a handful of bath salts with essential oils for that therapeutic bathing experience
Massage Oil
Pick your favourite massage oil, try and relate all the smells to a favourite happy memory. Apply the massage oil before a bath to relax your muscles and increase blood circulation. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a bath, by massaging oil just before stepping under the shower, this allows you to breath in the natural perfume oils which are supercharged with amazing benefits.
Tea
Finish off with tea, try a relaxing blend of flowers and calming herbs with lime flower, oat straw and passion flower, specially formulated to enable your body to unwind and decompress.
